For over 25 years, Deepak Chopra has been a constant light in my life. He has truly been such an inspiration, with his powerful messages and constant kindness for all. I continue to grow and evolve through his inspirations and his work through, The Chopra Center. I have found so much success in my life because of his book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. I have been called to share my reflections on this wonderful book and how it can bring forth powerful self-awareness. This week, I am going to visit The Law of Pure Potentiality. I will have direct quotes from the book, as well as, I will share the intuitive messages I have received while reading this powerful book (which you will see in purple).

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success: A Practical Guide to the Fulfillment of Your Dreams
What is Pure Potentiality?
Deepak states, “Pure potentiality is pure consciousness; it is the field of all possibilities and infinite creativity…A field of silent, unmoving awareness from which anything is possible.”
I am guided to express that we are each individual manifestations of pure potential. We come from a non-manifested space of the universe, to the manifested space in which we live. As Deepak and Roger Gabriel teach in Primordial Sound Meditation, “This non-manifested space is called the “GAP.” The “GAP” is the non-local space from which we originated; it is where all potential existence is to be manifested into the local world. So, we create what we think, even without realizing it. True power and success is obtained when we become aware of, The Law of Pure Potentiality, and how through clear and direct practice we can manifest our dreams.
“There is no separation between this field of energy and our spiritual essence, our self…When we know that our essential nature is one of pure potentiality, we align with the power that manifests everything in the universe.” -Deepak
The expectations of societal and generational beliefs have created shadows* in the archetypes* that are played out in this physical world and through our idea of what we should be; these beliefs are keeping us from recognizing our highest potential. Our pure potential has been stifled and ignored for so long, we have not been taught that we are pure consciousness, pure spirit or pure manifestation of Divine Source. Nor have we been taught, that we have the ability to create our life in such a way that all of our desires can be obtained effortlessly, or that our pure potential is limitless. We have blindly followed a belief system where this, “all powerful Source” is separate from us; where we belie
ve that we have no control over our destiny and everything that occurs in life is just “luck of the draw,” or bad luck of the draw.” Many have the belief that we are separate from God/Divine Source, that God is outside of ourselves in the heavens somewhere out there, when in reality… We are Divine Source made manifest.
This way of thinking creates separation from our physical and spiritual self, which in turn creates the karmic response to those beliefs. While, I believe that we have karmic matters to work through, I feel that we can move through this process by remembering that we are not separate from our spiritual essence. By unlearning old patterns and reprogramming our belief system we do not have to live these karmic responses for an entire lifetime. We do not have to be karmically pulled into this type of belief system. When we create from this platform of life we feel separated from our field of energy and forget that we are pure consciousness. We become very distant from our Source/Spirit. Our ego becomes strongly attached to the tangled material world. In other words, we can not see past the material world, we lose sight of our true essence. We have a hard time letting go of the past and continue the pattern of creating from those past states. In other words, we are living in the past and creating from that history/past. Our history is important, but we can not create successfully
from that space.
In this book Deepak expresses that when we align with the, Law of Pure Potentiality, we allow ourselves to connect to, “the Source of all power, all intelligence, and infinite organizing ability.” This creates the space for our thoughts, dreams and desires to manifest, “success in life depends on knowing who we really are. When our internal reference point is our spirit, our true Self, we experience all the power of our spirit.”
At some point in our life we find that we are not living in the present moment, we are beginning a journey of contemplation and realization. Our Spirit begins to sing!!! It is so excited that our soul is ready to begin its journey to find our truest essence, It is a personal and individual process of realizing your true potential. Somewhere deep inside our spirit opens up and begins calling us to re-connect. This opens the doors for each individual to begin to live and create from a state of pure consciousness. We do this by getting really intimate with ourselves, understanding who we are and that our potential is limitless. The very enlightenment of this is profound! It is time to re-ignite and re-connect to this light within. Allowing ourselves to become aware of this light enriches our soul to the point that it lifts and connects us to our Higher Self, our Spirit, our Source. We can then successfully shine out into the world.
So…Who are we?
We are Divine Source made manifest! We are not separate from Divine Source. We are living a life through this pure potential Source which is an ever growing energetic field of creativity. When we align ourselves with our Source purpose, we then can create from the space of unlimited potential that Deepak is expressing in this book.
How do you connect to Source purpose?
By creating time in your life to re-connect and align with the Source of all power. The Source only wants what is in our highest good and when we align our pure potential with clear heartfelt intentions all things are possible.
It is important to come from our true Spirit Self and remove the power we have given to our fear based ego. We then can hear and connect to our spirit of Divine Source. The ego is a very important part of our survival, but, we need to reel it in sometimes. The ego lives in the subconscious mind and this ego loves to judge and remind us of all it has done to keep us alive. So this, ego normally lives in a fear based state and becomes addicted to the material constructs. When we come to a space of realization that we are allowed to move from this survival based state of material constructs the ego can relax. We can then remind the ego to become a partner with our Higher Self. We are letting the ego know it is time to sit in the sidecar and enjoy the ride. We can then allow Spirit to guide our Soul to create the unlimited potential we desire and deserve.
Letting the ego relax is a process of coming to terms with our fears, beliefs, perceptions and judgements. This helps us acknowledge and take responsibility of our creative power. This is how we create the synchronicities that we want to experience in our life. This is pure potentiality. We are now manifesting from a higher state of existence, to draw in a more refined ways of creating the success in life we came here to experience.
Deepak calls this “Self-power” this power “draws things that we want to us; it magnitizes people, situations, and things to support our desires.” You will find that when you can tap into this amazing “self-power” synchronicities will occur in your life.
So, what does self-power mean?
I have been guided to say that self-power is the connection between your physical self and your spirit self. I call this Source-Power. It is a sense of connecting to Spirit Source using all six senses and allowing the soul to create from this space of existence. It is about becoming a witness and observer to what is going on in your daily life…Right NOW! Recognizing how you think, feel, believe, act, react and respond to daily experiences. In other words, Feeling the weather patterns of our life and then creating the environment that embraces your own personal evolution.
A daily practice this week could be to ask yourself these questions:
What does my ‘self talk’ sound like?
What is my belief about abundance?
What are my internal weather patterns?
From what environment do I allow myself to draw my potential?
Asking yourself these questions will allow for a deeper understanding of Self-Power/Source-Power.
You can experience Pure Potentiality by:
- Taking time to silently meditate and “Just Be.”
- Starting each day in awareness, with a non-judgemental attitude. Be gentle with yourself. Remind yourself throughout the day if you find you have begun to judge yourself, other people or situations. Be aware, acknowledge, forgive and move on.
- Take time to connect with nature and observe its natural power and grace.
- Send gratitude for ALL things.
